There are those who say there's not much of a difference between the two. Especially in this day and age. Almost all newly gazetted land in Malaysia is now leasehold.
Some argue that there are times when a leasehold property may make more sense than freehold. This argument is convoluted. There are times when it makes sense to jump out of a 2-storey building. Like when your house is on fire.
So which is superior and why? Here's my verdict.
